WEEK 12
Playtest and feedback
GuessWHAT is a card play game for at least two people playing. It requires a guesser and a describer. They need to collaborate to guess as many objects as possible correctly in a limited time.
First, after playing heads up. I found some points which confused me. users need to shake the phone up or down to actually make the card pass or pause. I felt it was a little bit hard to control in this way. so I am using a slide gesture to change my question card. right now, I have a couple of questions that can be edited by myself.
After playtesting, I found giving 1 minute is too short for answering a couple of questions. On the other hand, it might be good to have a count function to record how many questions you answer correctly. I am not sure if it is better to have a question list at the home page depends on the different sorts.
WEEK 9
Final idea
The performer can describe the word and use body language to deliver the information to the people who is guessing. Then choose skip or continue the card depends on the guesser can tell the right answer or not.
The interaction will be using a similar way like Tinder did, players can slide the card to left or right to continue the game. And there will be a timer and counter to record the process.
Question Card? one way is to scan the guess's face to get the question maybe.
WEEK 8
AR kit
1. more interesting book(interact with people)
When you are reading, it will be great to see some scenarios from the text. You can actually see it which can strengthen your experience and memory. Especially in some whodunit, it will be interesting to encourage readers to find the clue by interacting with some points in the book.
2. Work out assistance.
scan apparatuses inside the gym, and AR technique can provide guidance to real-time interactive images. You can check your movements by following the fitness images and detailed descriptions to ensure your action is precise and correct.
3. Cooking partner
Scan the ingredient to find the cooking method.
WEEK 7
Outbreak app
I change the idea to create this outbreak app. Due to the current situation, I am trying to provide related information to help people better understand the outbreak in history, and some preventions to protect us.
WEEK 6
Midterm proposal
Inspiration: create a worldwide landmark app. People are always finding some attractions during their traveling, they would like to experience the city landmark which is a symbol of a city.
An easier way to let people know some famous landmarks in different cities even countries. With a map behind, people can get a sense of the location and detail descriptions. Also, you can mark it! I wish this can be helpful as a guide during people's traveling.
WEEK 4
Gamekit
This week I made a game about clearing all of the color balls.
I Iearned a similar game from others and try to make it easier to play.
GAME RULES:
Players need to click different balls to remove all of the color balls. Every time you click a ball will trigger the other four balls (four directions)around it become blue. It is kind of the opposite with what you clicked. so players need to think about how to click in an opposite way to clear all the color balls
Problems:
After player finishing the game, I want to have a win feedback to notice.
I can't put a calculate function inside the body view. But the text"WIN" is base on the results of the calculate function so I can't figure out how to add it.
WEEK 3
Timer
I developed from the Arrayofcircles kit, then made six rows and 10 columns. When clicking the count button, it starts to count from 1, after all of the red corcles turned blue, that is one minute. (so that is the second timer)
Then I was trying to add a minute timer, after count 60 seconds, I turned the first circle into a different color which represents 1 minute. After the second round of 60 counties, the second circle changed to a the same color which represents 2 minutes. But I haven't figured it out 😂.
WEEK 2
POSTER
This week I was working on a poster, this is an inspired image from MoMA. Tadao Ando is a famous japan-architect which has a signature minimalist style. I redesign the poster and give some effect to the principles. I developed in using different stacks to understand the logic in swift UI.
WEEK 1
One Button App
This week I followed the tutorial of swift UI from apple and made this template of getting to know the Vstack/Hstack/Zstack function. I also learned how to edit an image with a frame of how to use different layers to design the interface. Then move to the one-button app project.
This project is called "what is sheng's favorite dish?"
I am doing a couple of images of different food then have a guess for users to think about. I also applied a sound to help with involving the image self. During play around it, I found what is really convenient is that in swift you can actually choose the effect you want that will be transformed into code automatically. I think it is really helpful and different from other programming software. It is a great connection between code and visual.
